Real 20-point letters
Large print is commonly defined as 18 point and up. Our grids use 20-point letters with room to breathe, so circling a word never feels like threading a needle.
No backwards words
Every hidden word reads forward — across, down, or diagonally. You get a pleasant hunt, not a trick. The word lists are printed big, too.
Print-friendly pages
One puzzle per Letter page, generous margins for three-hole punching, and light-on-ink layouts. Answer keys sit at the back, out of sight until you want them.
From download to pencil in three steps
- Download a pack. Click the button on a pack page — the PDF saves straight to your computer.
- Open and print. Any PDF reader works. Choose Actual size (100%) in the print window so the letters stay full size.
- Solve at your own pace. Words run across, down, and diagonally — never backwards. Answers wait at the back of the pack.
Printer being stubborn? Our printing guide walks through the settings in plain English.
Frequently asked questions
Are the puzzle packs really free?
Yes. Click the download button and the PDF is yours — no email address, no account, no free-trial tricks. Print as many copies as you like.
How large is the print?
Puzzle grids use 20-point letters — comfortably above the 18-point size commonly cited as the threshold for large print. Each puzzle gets a full Letter page to itself.
Do I need special software to open the puzzles?
No. The packs are ordinary PDF files, which open in any web browser or free PDF reader. When you print, choose Actual size (100%) so the letters stay large.
Can activity directors photocopy the puzzles?
Yes, gladly. Senior centers, activity programs, libraries, and church groups are welcome to photocopy puzzles for their groups. We only ask that you don't resell the packs or upload the files to other websites.
Will new puzzle packs be added?
Yes — new themed packs are added regularly, including seasonal themes through the year. Check the home page now and then, or bookmark it.
