About Easy Eyes Puzzles

We make printable puzzle packs that are genuinely large print, genuinely free, and genuinely pleasant to hold a pencil over.

Easy Eyes Puzzles started with a simple annoyance: search for "large print word search," and much of what you find is either tiny type wearing a big label, a generator buried in ads, or a paid book. If your eyes prefer bigger letters — because of age, low vision, or plain comfort — you deserve better than squinting at something that promised not to make you squint.

So we set our own standards, and every pack we publish follows them:

  • 20-point letters in every grid. Large print is commonly defined as 18 point and up; we build in a margin above it.
  • One puzzle per full Letter page. No cramming, generous spacing, wide margins for hole punches.
  • Words never run backwards. Across, down, and diagonal — always reading forward. A pleasant hunt, not a trick.
  • Answer keys always included, tucked at the back where they can't spoil anything.
  • Every word is a real word, checked. Real flowers, real birds, real 1950s. Themes are chosen to be worth chatting about, not just solving.
  • Free means free. No email address, no account, no "first one's free." Download the PDF and it's yours.

Who we are

We're a small independent project — puzzle-making tools, careful word lists, and a stubborn opinion about type size. No big publisher behind us, and nothing to sell you. If the packs brighten someone's afternoon, that's the whole business plan.

Sharing our puzzles

Personal printing is unlimited, and activity directors, senior centers, libraries, and church groups are welcome to photocopy our puzzles for their groups. The only things we ask: don't sell the packs, and don't re-upload the files to other websites — link to us instead, so people always get the newest version.
